Our Fibre Optic Hybrid HDMI cables are the perfect solution for easily extending HMDI digital signals over incredible distances. Perfect for professional and home cinema situations they feature fibre-optic technology which allows transmission distances that far exceed the maximum supported by standard copper only cables.
These cable feature H-PCF (Hard-Polymer Clad Fibre) glass fibres for sending digital display signals. The transmitter and receiver modules are each equipped with standard HMDI Male connectors for connecting to the source and the display. The modules are connected together by a fibre and copper solution.
This cable also can be connected to DP graphics card output for use with HDMI Displays using Displayport to HDMI Adapter No.41068
HDMI - The Standard for Connecting HDTV
All Digital
No compression, no conversion, pure digital dirext from the source as it was meant to be seen and heard.
The HDMI High Speed specification offers benefits over previous version:
3D
The HDMI specification defines common 3D formats and resolutions for HMDI-enabled devices. The specification will standardise the input/output portion of the home 3D system and will specify up to dual-stream 1080p resolution.
4K
The HDMI specifictaion will enable HMDI devices to support high-definition (HD) resolutions four times beyond the resolution of 1080p. Support for 4K will allow the HDMI interface to transmit content at the same resolution as many digital theatres.
Formats supported include:
3840 x 2160 @ 24Hz/25Hz/30Hz/60Hz
4096 x 2160 @ 24Hz
Content Type
Content Type enables, automated picture setting selection with no user intervention. The Content Type features enable a display to auto-detect the correct viewing mode to match the Content Type is receiving from source device, and to switch modes when a new connected source is selected. Content Tybe supports content profiles for gaming, movie, photograph and text viewing modes.
Audio Formats
HMDI supports multi-channel digital audio on a single cable. It transmits all ATSC HDTV standards and supports 8-channel, 192kHz, uncompressed digital audio and all cureently available compressed formats (such as Dolby Digital & DTS), HMDI 1.3 adds additional support for new lossless digital audio formats Dolby TrueHD and DDTS-HD Master Audio with bandwidth to spare to accommodate future enhancements and requirements.
