A SPDIF fing Idea from LINDY

We announced today the release of our SPDIF Digital/Toslink Audio Converter that solves the problem of incompatible analogue and digital connections when updating audio equipment. Offering bi-directional conversion, this compact device enables legacy audio equipment to continue to be used with ease.

Incompatibility between connectors is a frequent problem. Most people tend to build up their home entertainment systems piece by piece, replacing out-dated equipment as they can afford it. More often than not it's the availability of new technology that tempts buyers into parting with their cash, the problem comes when people get it home and try to connect it to the rest of their kit.

The converter enables the user to input digital audio through a Coaxial or optical port and output digital audio through Coaxial or optical ports, providing complete installation flexibility. Both optical and coaxial cables can be connected to the LINDY SPDIF Digital/Toslink Audio Converter at the same time, although only one can be active at a time.

With an integrated digital interpolator filter and Digital to Analogue Converter (DAC), the LINDY SPDIF Digital/Toslink Audio Converter supports uncompressed digital stereo audio input. The device comes complete with a 5v DC multi country power supply.
