With this Extender you can use up to 70m of high quality inexpensive Cat.5e/6 cable to connect a DVI source to a DVI display device.
The slim RJ45 connectors and Cat.6 cable (not included) allow greater flexibility not possible with larger DVI connectors and cables.
Normal operation will not require external power; however the Transmitter unit allows external power to be attached in cases where the graphics card does not provide sufficient power, either using a USB Micro-B Cable or an external power supply (5V 320mA) connected to the supplied USB to DC cable.

With almost all graphics cards and when using LINDY Super Long Distance cables (SLD), supports cable lengths up to 10m at input + 10m at output
Depending on the quality of the graphics chipset and the stability of the output signal, cable lengths up to 25 m are also supported on both input and output. The following section has some examples. These results may vary as a result of series dispersion or with different graphic card manufacturers.

Using a standard SC duplex single mode (9/125*Remote control requires our Infrared Kit (sold separately)) fibre optic cable (not included) to make the long distance connection, the DVI-D Extender provides full support for computer DVI-D Single Link and HDTV DVI-D signals, RS-232 and IR remote control.
Unlike other manufacturer's solutions, the LINDY Fibre Optic DVI-D Extender uses just one duplex fibre cable - no additional cables are required for RS-232 or IR remote control.

The extender system comprises two modules, a transmitter and a receiver, which are connected to both the DVI-D source and display using standard DVI-D cables of up to 5m. Easy to set up and install this compact Fibre Optic DVI-D Dual Link Extender is a cost effective, high quality solution for sending DVI-D signals up to 500m without any compression or degradation over MPO Multimode cable.
Unlike other solutions, this extender uses just a single fibre cable to reach such great lengths. The system comprises of transmitter and receiver modules that connect directly to the digital source & display via DVI-D. The modules are then connected using a single, MPO fibre optic cable (not included).

This DVI-D/SDI converter is a favourable alternative for outputting DVI-D signals in the SDI format. It supports 1080p resolutions and allows you to select between the 3.5mm analogue stereo input and digital input in the audio contained in the DVI signal.
