The Lindy DVI EDID Emulator with Cloning is designed for systems that require EDID signals to be continuously provided without interruption and helps overcome EDID related problems which can occur when using AV / KVM Extenders, Switches & Splitters. It can also be used in place of a monitor to keep the PC or Server awake for remote access over IP.
Problems can occur when using various AV devices such as KVM Switches, Splitters & Extenders amongst others. These devices are often unable to pass the EDID information back to the source device. This emulator allows the user to clone the EDID information from a display which can be provided to the source prior to the installation of any intermediary devices.
This Emulator also includes pre-set EDID data which includes the most commonly used DVI resolutions and refresh rate combinations, which allows for simple installation as it can be used with many displays quickly without the need to clone EDID information.
The Lindy DisplayPort 1.4 EDID Emulator Adapter is designed for systems that require an uninterrupted signal to overcome EDID related issues that commonly occur when using AV equipment such KVM's, Extenders, Splitters & Switches.
The Emulator also features LED indicators to ensure a quick simple installation process and with support for resolutions up to 7620x4320@30Hz or 3840x2160@144Hz HDR (Via cloning), HDCP 2.2 & DPCP 2.0 pass-through, this emulator is perfect for use with Ultra HD 4K monitors, Displays and source equipment.
A headless EDID adapter enables a simulated connection on the video source device without requiring an actual monitor to be connected.
With the small-scale and minimalistic design, this is a handy connectivity solution for both AV and IT installers to ensure legacy and new DP equipment works seamlessly with no compromise on performance.
This adapter can be used to quickly and easily clone the EDID data from the DP display so that the graphics card has direct access to the correct data from the display, the cloning process takes less than 10 seconds; Alternatively the EDID Emulator is configured with a preset EDID which uses the most common resolutions/timing combinations. Please see the technical information section for a full breakdown.
Note: When EDID emulator is in headless mode rebooting/restarting will cause the resolution to default to 3840x2160@60Hz, 4:2:2, 8-bit.
The Lindy EDID Recorder is a useful solution to solving a variety of EDID compatibility issues that may occur when connecting mixed displays or using splitters, extenders or switches.
This recorder intelligently copies a connected HDMI , VGA or DVI displays EDID and stores it, to then be repeatedly used with Lindy’s range of EDID emulators (32104, 32121 and 32122), overwriting the emulator’s pre-set EDID to ensure seamless compatibility within the installation. The EDID recorder’s simple switch for copying EDID information allows for hassle free use for both professional and first time users.
This recorder is also backwards compatible with previous Lindy EDID emulators 32101 and 32102.
The Lindy VGA EDID Emulator is designed for systems that require EDID signals to be continuously provided without interruption and helps overcome EDID related problems which can occur when using AV/KVM extenders, switches and splitters. It can also be used in place of a monitor to keep the graphics card of a PC or server awake for remote access via IP. With support for resolutions up to 1920x1200@60Hz, the emulator is suitable for use with legacy PCs and displays. When used with the Lindy EDID recorder (32120) this device can provide cloned EDID information to the graphics card.
It is also possible to use the Emulator without cloning a display as it comes complete with pre-set EDID data for the most commonly used resolution/timing combinations, please see the Technical Information section for a full breakdown.
